What You'll Do: 

 

As an Instrumentation Technician in Lubrizol’s Additives Mechanical Testing Department, you will be accountable for successful operation of testing equipment that demonstrate product performance and differentiation. The testing equipment ranges from full scale engines, drive train, and pump rigs to novel rigs in support of thermal management fluids and immersion cooling.

 

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, repair, calibrate, modify, and install/construct instrumentation equipment and controls.
  • Provide technical input regarding design, installation, repair, and safe operation of equipment and systems.
  • Work closely with Data Acquisition and Control, Project Engineering, and Fabrication teams to drive standardization initiatives, new technologies, processes and practices that will help improve lab efficiency and effectiveness.

 

Skills That Make a Difference:

 

  • Associate degree, or currently more than 50% through an Electronic Technology Program. Related fields or equivalent military training may also qualify.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and calibrate electronic/pneumatic equipment, advanced analytical and laboratory equipment.
  • Comfortable using computers, software and instrument control systems.
  • Experience with instrumentation calibration and metrology.
  • Follows safety practices, including PPE and safe work procedures.
  • Demonstrates self-motivation, teamwork, clear communication, problem solving, and reliability.
  • Available to work after hours as needed and on select holidays as part of an on-call rotation.
